Domenica scorsa c’era una giornata meravigliosa. Qui in Libano splendeva quel sole dai raggi abbaglianti e potenti che io, ragazza mediterranea, conosco così bene e che mi ha accarezzato tutta la vita. L’aria tiepida ci ha spinto a passare l’intera giornata all’aria aperta. È stato bello.
Sono talmente tante le cose che avrei da raccontarvi, che un post solo non mi basta. I miei bimbi si sono divertiti passando da un’attività all’altra, senza sosta. Ed io, lì, vicino a loro, morivo dal ridere, ogni tanto mi arrabbiavo un po’ e poi, a tratti, me ne andavo a passeggiare sulle alte cime dei miei sogni.
Comincio col dirvi che noi abbiamo un rapporto speciale con i limoni. Anzi, direi proprio un rapporto genetico. Si tratta di sangue, di dna. Che, infallibilmente, si è trasmesso anche nei geni dei miei bimbi.
Per noi non c’è niente di meglio di una limonata fresca e espressa.
Last Sunday it was a wonderful day. Here in Lebanon the sun was shining. That same, shining and powerful sun that I know so well, cause he thrashed me, a Mediterranean girl, during all my life. The warm air pushed us to spend the whole day in the open air. It was beautiful.
There are so many things I would like to tell you, that only one post is not enough. My children enjoied all day, passing from one activity to the other one, without stopping and I was there, next to them, ding with laughing. Sometimes I got a little bit angry and, at intervals, I went away, for walking on the hights of my dreams.
I’ll start telling you that we have a very special relationship with lemons. I would better say that we have a genetic relationship with lemons. It’s about blood, about dna. Which, of course, transmitted to my kids’ genes.
For us nothing is better than a fresh, express lemonade.
Basta raccogliere qualche limone.
We just collect some lemon from the tree.
Sciacquarlo bene.
We rinse it well.
Spremerlo, magari con l’aiuto della mamma, almeno nella parte finale.
We squeeze them, better with mama’s help, at least in the end.
Versare il succo nel bicchiere.
We pour the juice in the glass.
Aggiungere l’acqua e un po’ di zucchero.
We add water and some sugar.
E, infine, deliziarci con quel graffio dolce e aspro, che ci scorre nelle vene J
And finally, we delight with that sweet and sour scratch, which is flowing in our veins.
